PMI Integration

Brandeis University’s Master of Science in Project and Program Management program combines rigorous theory and practice to help prepare project management professionals to stay competitive in their field. This program was developed by an experienced team of PMI (Project Management Institute) advisors and experienced project management professionals.

Following the recommendations of our program chair and senior practitioners who form our Professional Advisory Board, Brandeis University has specifically chosen not to seek the status of a Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) with the PMI. While the program curriculum is consistent with PMI’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) and related standards, its courses are not limited by PMBOK boundaries and explore ranges of cost-effective techniques to apply project management practices in the workplace. The curriculum integrates understandings of business functions and challenges at various levels of corporate operation.

This practical and online program has a well-rounded and broader curriculum which prepares project management practitioners to be leaders in their field. Courses in the program qualify for professional development units (PDUs) for those practitioners studying toward their project management credentials, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). The Master of Science in Project and Program Management can provide you with powerful skills and knowledge that will guide you throughout your project management career, while you study toward your PMI certification.

“During the course, we formed teams that were very much like real virtual teams that we would normally have in real life. I now have many takeaways from the course and a list of best practices that I can use in a real setting.” — Ed Shehab student in the Foundations of Virtual Team Management across Cultures and Geographies course
